Hey Will,
I am not sure if the CSX Miami theme will work in N scale. N scale in my opinion is for running trains, high scenery to track ratio and although switching is possible and has improved in recent times is still better in HO. Plus you’ll get Sound with HO.
If you want to still go down the CSX Miami route may I recommend Lance Mindheim’s new book which has numerous Plans that are similar to his Downtown Spur but are original.
If you dont have this if you send me your email address I can scan the plan I am refering to you for your perusal.
you can tell me to butt out now!
Good Luck
Matt

Hi Matt,
I’ve been in conversations with Lance Mindheim regarding the prototype and his book (which is prettygood) – I’ll have to disagree with your appraisal that N gauge is just for running long trains in big scenery. I agree that relatively recent developments have made switching possible in N without major headaches, but that’s my main interest.
I simply don’t have room for a HO layout that could support anything beyond a bare minimum of abstracted ops, unfortunately.
